In the months of June to September come to Argentina for world-class skiing. All the resorts are located in the western part of Argentina, close to the Andes Mountains. Travelling to one of these ski resorts requires a 2 or 3 hour flight from Buenos Aires and then ground transportation to the slopes. Argentina has 2 big downhill resorts: Cerro Catedral, Bariloche and Las Lenas, Mendoza. Argentina also has almost a dozen other resorts of smaller magnitude. A few hours away from Bariloche by car there is Cerro Chapelco, a wonderful mountain for forest skiing, challanging steep chutes, and off-piste touring.

La cantidad de turistas que a diario visitan el cerro Chapelco para disfrutar de su variada propuesta de verano, superó las expectativas de la empresa, desde donde se esperaba, al iniciar las actividades, la visita diaria de 250 personas y lograron duplicar este objetivo. Federico Soto, prensa de Chapelco, informó que “ya rondamos los 15.000 visitantes en lo que va de la temporada y estamos analizando extender la temporada el próximo verano, iniciando las actividades el 15 de diciembre”.
